
Celebrating 30 Years of the Women’s Prize for Fiction

Join us in Barnes & Noble on the Upper West Side in New York as we celebrate 30 years of the Women’s Prize for Fiction with Tayari Jones and A.M. Homes.
Tayari and A.M. will be in conversation for a live recording of the Poured Over: The Barnes & Noble Podcast, hosted by Miwa Messer.
Tayari and A.M. will discuss their books that won the Women’s Prize for Fiction: An American Marriage in 2019 and May We Be Forgiven in 2013; their writing practise, and their experience of the Women’s Prize.
They will be available to sign books after the recording.
Tayari Jones is the author of four novels, including Silver Sparrow, The Untelling, and Leaving Atlanta. Jones holds degrees from Spelman College, Arizona State University, and the University of Iowa. A winner of numerous literary awards, she is a professor of creative writing at Emory University. A. M. Homes is the author of the memoir The Mistress’s Daughter and the novels This Book Will Save Your Life, Music for Torching, The End of Alice, In a Country of Mothers, and Jack, as well as the story collections Days of Awe, The Safety of Objects and Things You Should Know.
