Jikoni, founded by writer and chef Ravinder Bhogal and her husband Nadeem Lalani Nanjuwany, is a “no-borders kitchen” inspired by the rich, interwoven flavours of immigrant kitchens and maternal cooking traditions. Ravinder and Nadeem believe that food, like literature, has the power to connect, to nourish, and to offer new perspectives. Jikoni is a joyful and expansive celebration of culture and comfort, rooted in sustainability, kindness, and a deep love of storytelling through food.

As a proudly majority female-owned business, Jikoni is honoured to be back at Women’s Prize LIVE for 2026, and be part of a festival which champions creativity, representation, and opportunity. The picnic hampers are designed to be the perfect literary companion for this wonderful occasion, offering thoughtful, delicious nourishment. Whether you’re snacking between panels, settling into the grass with a lunchtime book, or laying out a blanket with friends to discuss your latest reads; both menus are full of beautiful, enlightening flavours to sustain both body and mind at every moment in the day.
