Concessions refers to:
– Students
– Anyone in receipt of any State Benefits (eg Universal Credit, Disability or Carer’s Allowance)
– Anyone in receipt of State Pension
– Those on maternity leave or who have been on maternity leave within the year prior to the event date

Please note that proof of your concession eligibility will be required for entry to the event. For those on maternity leave, proof could be: a payslip, evidence from your employer, or if you’re self-employed, evidence that you receive maternity allowance. For students, we require a form of student ID that has a valid date of expiry.

20 free places are offered to those whose financial situation prohibits them from attending or if they are from an underrepresented group – for example, writers from Global Majority backgrounds, or those living with disability and chronic illness. Please see the event page for details on how to apply.

All tickets bought are firm sale. Refund requests will not usually be granted unless all tickets have sold out, and we can sell any refunded tickets to the waiting list, and will be considered at the discretion of the Women’s Prize Trust. Within seven days pre-event, no refund requests will be processed and no refunds given.

Tickets are sold subject to the Women’s Prize Trust’s right to alter or vary the programme due to circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.

If you need a person to assist you in order for you to attend Women’s Prize LIVE, please email us on info@womensprize.com with any useful documentation evidence as to why you require assistance, and we will book you one extra free ticket alongside your purchased ticket. Please note we will need their name and an email address for your carer in order to process the booking on your behalf.

Yes, babies in arms are welcome at Women’s Prize LIVE. It should be noted that the event is primarily intended for adults and we kindly ask attendees to be mindful of noise during live and recorded events.

Only assistance dogs are permitted on site. We kindly ask that they remain on a leash and wear their identifying vest or harness where possible.

All our events are intended for those aged 18+.

The festival operates a multi-stream programme, meaning you can come and go during overlapping events. Please be respectful and keep disruption to a minimum when moving between events.

There are some workshops and 121 events which are available to purchase as ‘add-ons’. See the programme once announced for more details.

Women’s Prize LIVE takes place at Bedford Square Gardens, Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3HH. The public entrance is on the North side of the Gardens, opposite number 20.

By underground:
Tottenham Court Road (Northern line – Charing Cross Branch, Central line or Elizabeth line – 7 mins walk)
Russell Square (Piccadilly line – 11 mins walk)
Euston Square (Hammersmith & City, Circle, Metropolitan lines – 13 mins walk)
Warren Street (Northern line – Charing Cross Branch or Victoria line – 14 mins walk)

By train:
Euston – 20 mins walk
St Pancras – 30 mins walk

Women’s Prize LIVE takes place in a garden square in central London, with grass and shingle underfoot, and open to the elements. There are accessible toilets on site. We will do our best to accommodate any access needs you may have. Please email info@womensprize.com if you would like to discuss any accessibility requirements.

Upon arrival, you will need to show your ticket email with a barcode to be scanned, any supporting documentation required with your ticket type, and photographic ID. Please ensure the name on your ticket corresponds to your photo ID.

If the gate team is not satisfied by the documentation you provide, you may be refused entry to the festival.

You should have received an email for your ticket purchase to Women’s Prize LIVE 2027 that displays a QR code. This QR code is necessary for you to be admitted to the gardens. If your QR code is not showing, please check the email using a different device, browser or app, ensuring that your device and email allows image downloads. If you experience further issues, please email us at info@womensprize.com with the subject: TECH ISSUE: QR CODE and we’ll aim to respond to you within two working days.

The QR code on your ticket allows you to enter and exit the gardens as you please throughout the day.

There is no luggage storage on site at Bedford Square Gardens. Every attendee will receive a limited edition goody bag on entry and we recommend you only bring small personal items. If you will have a large bag with you there are a range of baggage drop sites around Bedford Square Gardens (WC1B 3HH) that you can book in advance, such as Luggage Hero or Radical Storage.

Please note that any items brought into the gardens may be subject to bag searches.

Alongside your QR code and photo ID, it would also be useful to bring…

– Umbrella/Sunscream – forecast dependent!
– Portable charger – there are no charging points in the gardens.
– Appropriate shoes – the gardens are mostly lawn, and if it has rained recently, it can get a bit soggy underfoot.
– Seating – there is seating in the tents for all events. You’re very welcome to bring along a seat pad or cushion to add to the seats for extra comfort.
– Something to write with – if you are taking part in a workshop or 1-2-1, bring a tablet or notebook and pen.

Please note below the list of items not allowed in the gardens:

– Weapons (e.g. knives, guns, batons, pepper spray)
– Sharp objects (e.g. scissors, box cutters, blades)
– Explosives or flammable substances (e.g. fireworks, lighters in bulk, aerosol sprays)
– Illegal drugs & drug paraphernalia
– Alcohol
– Glass bottles
– Two-way radios / drones / microphones / megaphones
– Laser pointers
– Fake ID or entry wristbands
– Material likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to others, including signage, postcards, placards, clothing with slogans

Note gate staff may request you to drink from water bottles and opened drinks containers (i.e. cans / plastic bottles) to confirm these are not noxious substances.

The Women’s Prize Trust reserves the right at its discretion to refuse entry to or remove any person from the gardens, without refund, for any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury.

Food and drink offerings for Women’s Prize LIVE 2027 will be confirmed in due course. You are welcome to bring food or leave and re-enter the site to get food or a coffee nearby. Please note we do not permit guests to bring their own alcohol on site.

We are also a nut-free site, so please keep this in mind if bringing food with you.

We are a no-plastic site, so please bring your reusable water bottle with you to refill at one of the top-up stations.

Bar service stops at 8.30pm and the gardens close at 9.30pm following the Women’s Prizes Shortlist signing.

Books can be purchased from the bookshop tent on site, where authors will sign after each event, subject to availability. Confirmation of the author signing schedule will be available in your event programme and on a printed timetable outside the bookshop.

Sometimes, due to circumstances beyond our control, the published line-up of speakers may change at short notice.

No refunds will be offered in the event of changes to the speaker line-up.

Please note, this event takes place outdoors (mainly under tent cover), and the full programme of activities may have to be amended due to the weather. We will do our best to ensure you have a wonderful time no matter the weather, but cannot be held responsible if severe weather means the event cannot go ahead as originally planned. No refunds will be offered if the programme is amended due to the weather or other situations beyond our control.

If the event as a whole is cancelled by Women’s Prize Trust, all ticket holders will be contacted and offered a refund or exchange for a future event.

Photography and videography will be taking place around the gardens, with some events recorded. Ticket holders consent to being filmed, photographed and recorded as members of the audience. The resulting film footage, images and recordings may be used to promote Women’s Prize LIVE and the work of the Women’s Prize Trust in print, online and in the media.
